My Collection

Well, this is what this site is all about, isn't it? My pony collection! As I one day decided I wanted to have all ponies... I collect ponies of every generation! I will deal with every collection separately here...

First a little picture of my main pony display... this picture was taken on July 25th, 2005. These are basically all my gen1 ponies you see, but the gen2 and a part of the gen3 are missing... They have other places in my appartment :)

Generation 1

Well, this is what started it all. My gen1 collection holds over 400 ponies at the moment... I am planning to make a list of all the ponies I have, but that will take a while before I'm done, lol. I currently do not collect variations, because I want to complete my Euro and US ponies first. Got to have priorities, right? lol. Most of the ponies I aqcuired in my childhood, or from the internet. Most of my ponies are in a good condition, no large body marks or haircuts... with a few exceptions. As I want them all, I decided not to be too picky, because I simply can't afford to buy every pony 100% mint. I do have a few bits of merchandise, like puzzles, DVD's, and of course I have most of the playsets, and a bit of pony clothing... and I do have some petites with the carrousel, the castle and one of the little shops.
My favorite ponies... Baby Quackers and baby Stella! They're just so special to me as I loved them so much when I was a child. But there are other ponies I really like, for example Big Brother Chief, baby Palm Tree, Baby Diamond...

An example of how my gen2 are displayed. They live in two glass cabinets and are all displayed like this. In this picture you can see the very hard to find ponies... the beautiful mansion (I wish I had room to display it opened up!), the playtime area twins, the sail boat and the beautiful twins, Click and Nosy. My pretty Study and Play also live here, but I recieved them after this picture was taken.

Generation 2

This is a simple one: it's complete! I have every single one! It took me a lot of time and a lot of money to complete it, but it's the pride of my collection right now :) Most of them are either loose but complete or MOC, I can only think of 3 that are missing accessoires. All of these ponies are mint, no hair cuts, no marks... Except one little baby who is missing an eye jewel, poor thing :(
My favorite gen2... the royal part of the line is my favorite part, for sure! I think I find Golden Light the most beautiful pony, but Twinkle Star holds a very special place in my heart.

One of my beautiful gen3 ponies, Wing Song. Unfortunately my gen3 are scattered all over my room, so it's a bit hard to make one picture where you can see how I display them, even though you can see some of them in the picture above.

Generation 3

I'm trying to keep up, I'm trying... but I have to let some things go. I decided not to collect variations, even though that's hard because they are all so cute! I don't collect variations in the same pose, though. Naturally, all of these ponies are mint and have their accessories, except Mittens and Snowflake, and I lost the brush of poor Beachberry. I have a few pieces of merchandise, like a children's shirt, socks, the Dutch magazine, sticker sheets, some plushies... But my priority lies with the ponies :)
My favorites of this line... I love the new dream design ponies, they have beautiful colors. Of course I'm in love withthe beautiful Star Catcher, but my all time favorite two are Kimono and Wing Song, with a very nice third place for Gem Blossom. I'm not too fond of the "Sweet Berry 1" pose... it's a bit bitchy ;)
